Subway Surfers Turns 13 With Global City Tour

Subway Surfers celebrates its 13th anniversary this month, and SYBO has something special planned for its global community. Starting May 12th, players will embark on a worldwide marathon to honor the game's milestone.

The Game Returns to Its Roots!

The anniversary update begins in Copenhagen, where it all started. New content arrives in the Danish capital, followed by a novel daily challenge that takes you to different cities.

Your run will extend beyond Copenhagen, allowing you to unlock up to 21 iconic locations including Paris, Rio, Tokyo, London, Los Angeles, and Hawaii. To visit each destination, collect World Tour suitcase tokens in every city to progress to the next.

This update marks the 200th location in the World Tour series, a tradition that began in 2013. Currently, the game is in Osaka honoring Golden Week, featuring vibrant neon lights, traditional elements, and exclusive content.

New characters Saru and Oni Hime join the roster. Saru is available through the Season Challenge, while Oni Hime can be obtained via a special offer. The update also introduces social features like Player Names and Friend Lists. See it in action below.

Prepare for the Subway Surfers 13th Anniversary

Launched on May 23rd, 2012, Subway Surfers now boasts 150 million monthly players and over four billion downloads worldwide, making this anniversary a significant event. After twelve years and 199 cities, the game continues to unite players through diverse local landscapes.

From May 12th to June 1st, additional bonus content is available. Look out for two new travel-themed characters, Loc and Stevie, alongside fresh outfits, hoverboards, and various rewards.
