How To Decide To Use the Mask or Rid Yourself of It in Fortnite

Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1 introduces a unique challenge: choosing to use or discard an Oni Mask for extra XP. Unlike typical challenges, this one offers player agency. Here's how to complete the "decide to use the Mask or rid yourself of it" quest.

This week's Fortnite quests involve finding a hidden workshop, visiting Kento, and investigating a portal. The Oni Mask challenge is simpler: acquire either a Fire or Void Oni Mask. Masks are readily found throughout the game world and can be looted from eliminated opponents. Earning the 25,000 XP reward should be easy.

However, the challenge's wording ("decide to use the Mask or rid yourself of it") is deliberately ambiguous. To complete it, simply either activate the Mask's ability or remove it from your inventory.
