⚫︎ Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy XIV Mobile, developed by Tencent's Lightspeed Studios, will launch with the A Realm Reborn expansion, letting new and returning players begin from the modern storyline.
This official statement follows months of rumors and includes a Q&A video with producer Naoki "Yoshi-P" Yoshida, who detailed the game’s narrative pacing and release strategy. While the mobile edition will first launch in China, a worldwide rollout will follow.
Yoshida emphasized that the massive amount of content will be rolled out progressively, with possible adjustments based on community input.
