在TGA游戏大奖公布PC移植版后，《最终幻想7 重生》曾公布过部分PC配置要求，但史克威尔艾尼克斯随后对列表进行了一些调整。公司澄清了之前的PC配置，明确表示使用4K显示器的玩家建议使用至少12GB至16GB显存的显卡。游戏仍需64位Windows 10或11操作系统，155GB的固态硬盘存储空间，以及至少16GB的内存。处理器方面，推荐使用AMD Ryzen 5 5600或更高性能的多核CPU。显卡方面，由于游戏将使用深度学习超采样（DLSS）技术提升性能，《最终幻想7 重生》需要Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060或更高型号的显卡。

此外，《最终幻想7 重生》需要支持Shader Model 6.6或更高版本的GPU，以及支持DirectX 12 Ultimate的操作系统。游戏总监浜口直树此前在采访中鼓励玩家体验PC版，因为即将推出的PC移植版独享升级的灯光、着色器和纹理效果。PS5版本是否会获得类似的灯光升级还有待观察。
虽然史克威尔艾尼克斯此前曾表示有意为Steam Deck优化《最终幻想7 重生》，但公司方面尚未对此进行更新。随着1月23日临近，玩家很快就能在PC上体验《最终幻想7 重生》了。
