Charlie Cox's Daredevil has seamlessly transitioned from Netflix to the MCU. Could other Defenders characters follow suit? Iron Fist actor Finn Jones recently expressed his eagerness to reprise his role, stating: "I’m ready to step back in."
Jones last portrayed Danny Rand seven years ago in Season 2 of the Iron Fist Netflix series and in The Defenders, where the martial arts hero joined forces with Daredevil/Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter).
Jones’ Iron Fist received mixed reactions from fans compared to other Defenders, prompting speculation about whether Marvel would include the character in future MCU projects.

At LaConve, an anime convention in Monterrey, NL, Mexico, Jones addressed criticism of his Iron Fist portrayal, urging fans and Marvel to give him another opportunity.
“Fans have mixed feelings about my return,” Jones told the convention audience when asked about reprising Iron Fist. “I’m well aware of the critiques about my performance and the character.
“My response is: give me a shot to make it right. I’m here, ready, and determined to change minds. I’d love for that opportunity.”

Daredevil: Born Again continues the Daredevil saga from Netflix, which once anchored a mini Marvel universe with shows like Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage. These series, along with the broader Defenders Netflix storyline, are now officially part of MCU canon, integrated with other MCU content on Disney+. Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, previously exclusive to Netflix, also features in Daredevil: Born Again.
