Here is the official description:
In Civilization 7 - VR, the world of Civilization comes alive in unprecedented ways. The game map materializes on a Command Table, letting you survey the landscape from a bird's-eye view or lean in close to admire the intricate details of buildings and units, transforming the experience into a living tabletop game. Players will guide their civilization's destiny and engage in direct, face-to-face diplomacy with legendary world leaders around the Command Table, with each leader dynamically responding to your actions as you forge alliances or declare war across the ages.
Civilization 7 - VR can be played in fully immersive virtual reality or mixed reality modes, with the ability to switch between them seamlessly at any point. In virtual reality, players find themselves in a grand museum overlooking a vista tailored to their chosen leader; in mixed reality, the Command Table integrates directly into the player's physical surroundings. The Archives, a dedicated room within your museum, showcases detailed dioramas of your in-game accomplishments, viewable in both virtual and mixed reality. Beyond the single-player campaign, Civilization 7 - VR offers competitive online multiplayer for up to three other Meta Quest 3 and 3S players, where you can battle for global domination.
Firaxis' latest 4X strategy sequel is currently accessible on PC and consoles for players who purchased early access, and the community has been vocal in Steam user reviews, pointing out concerns with the user interface, limited map variety, and a general sentiment that Civilization 7 launched without several expected features.
Firaxis has acknowledged this feedback, pledging enhancements to the UI, the introduction of cooperative teams in multiplayer, a broader selection of map types, and other improvements.
In a pre-earnings interview with IGN, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick recognized that Civilization 7 had drawn some critical reviews from both media and players but expressed confidence that longtime fans of the series will grow more appreciative with extended gameplay, describing the game's early performance as "very encouraging."
