Fortnite

The Getaway is an exciting Limited Time Mode that was first introduced in *Fortnite* during Chapter 1 Season 5, and it has made a thrilling return in Chapter 6 Season 2. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to play The Getaway in *Fortnite*, along with details on how long the mode will be available.

Playing The Getaway in Fortnite

Getting started with The Getaway in *Fortnite* is straightforward. Simply launch *Fortnite* on your preferred platform, navigate to the Lobby, and select the Discover tab. Within Discover, locate The Getaway and hit the Play button to start queuing for a match.

If you have trouble finding it, use the search bar located in the top left corner of the Lobby. Type in "The Getaway," and the mode should appear instantly, allowing you to jump right into the action.

What Is The Getaway?

The Getaway is a thrilling heist-style game mode where players must secure a jewel from the map and make their escape using a Getaway Van. As a PvP mode, you'll be competing against multiple teams all vying for the same jewels.

Victory is achieved by being one of the first three teams to successfully steal a jewel and escape with the van. Alternatively, you can also win by eliminating other teams you encounter during the match. What makes this iteration of The Getaway particularly enjoyable is its availability in Zero Build mode, catering to players who prefer to skip *Fortnite*'s traditional building mechanics. You can play in various formats including Duos, Squads, Unranked, and Ranked, providing flexibility to match your preferred play style.

The Getaway Start and End Dates

The Getaway is currently live in *Fortnite* and will be available until April 1 at 12 a.m. Eastern Time. I highly recommend diving into this mode during this period, as you'll have the opportunity to earn XP that contributes to your battle pass progression.

That's everything you need to know about playing The Getaway in *Fortnite*. For more tips and detailed information on the game, be sure to check out The Escapist.
