Dive into the whimsical world of Genshin Impact's Shuyu's Baffling Beetle Battle Bowl! This limited-time event in Version 5.3 challenges you to command an Onikabuto beetle in five unique battles. This guide provides a straightforward approach to conquering each challenge.
Entry Requirements:
To participate, you'll need:
- Adventure Rank 20 or higher.
- Completion of the Mondstadt Archon Quest Prologue. While not mandatory, completing Xianyun's Story Quest "Grus Serena Chapter" adds context and introduces Shuyu.
Gameplay Mechanics:
The event is simple: Use your Onikabuto beetle in a simulated battle (within your Serenitea Pot at Mt. Aocang) against various enemies. Controls are intuitive: Forward, Backward, and Jump. Mastering timing and stamina management is key, as movement and attacks consume stamina. Powerful Piercing Strikes require holding the attack button.
Battling the Beetles' Foes:
Here's a breakdown of each stage's opponent and strategy:
- Staff Master (Basic Hilichurl): Repeated headshots are effective. Watch for ground markings indicating attack zones.
- Torch-Wielding Berserker (Hilichurl Berserker): Target its head; the Pyro Slime it carries is also a weak point, especially when preparing to throw it.
- Red-Hot Mage (Pyro Abyss Mage): Interrupt its incantations, then attack. Watch out for fireballs and flame pillars.
- Freezing Cold Mage (Cryo Abyss Mage): Employ the same strategy as the Pyro Abyss Mage.
- Mini Mountain (Stonehide Lawachurl): Swift attacks are crucial. A Geo Slime will appear; use a Piercing Strike for maximum damage.
Difficulty and Rewards:
Choose "Focused Fight" (two-star difficulty) for optimal Primogem rewards (30-20 per stage). "Utmost Might" (three-star) unlocks after completing Focused Fight, offering Mora and Enhancement Ores but no Primogems. Consult the "Dossier on Opponent" for enemy strategies if needed. Co-op mode is available; select "Match" to team up with other players.
A total of 420 Primogems are up for grabs on Utmost Might difficulty, along with Hero's Wit, Sanctifying Unction, Mora, and Mystic Enhancement Ore.
