Just type the name into the search field, and you can send a friend request. Once your request is accepted, you're officially connected!

There's another handy method for adding friends—using a unique friend code. You can find your own friend code by double-clicking the button located in the bottom right corner of the Friends screen. Share this code with anyone you want to befriend, and you'll be connected in no time!
