Enter the Gungeon, the acclaimed 2016 bullet-hell roguelike, is launching a limited Android test in China! From June 28th to July 8th, Chinese players can experience a free demo on TapTap, offering a glimpse into the Gungeon's chaotic depths.
This mobile demo retains the core roguelike gameplay: unique runs, a diverse cast of quirky heroes, and ever-changing chambers filled with challenging enemies. The Gungeon itself remains a sprawling, bullet-infested labyrinth.
The controls and interface have been redesigned for intuitive touchscreen play, allowing for smooth dodging and rapid-fire combat. A standout feature is the inclusion of two-player online co-op, enabling collaborative Gungeon conquering with a friend.
The Demo's Content:
The demo unlocks the first two floors of the Gungeon, introducing players to a selection of its bizarre enemies, bullet-hell bosses, and a taste of its vast weapon arsenal, ranging from standard pistols to outlandish inventions.
This test phase actively seeks player feedback. Bug reports, suggestions for improvements, and optimization advice are highly valued by the developers to refine the mobile experience. Visit the TapTap page to participate.
Global Release?
Currently, the test is exclusive to China, with a Chinese-language interface. While a global release date hasn't been announced, the game's popularity suggests it's only a matter of time before a wider rollout occurs.
