"Marvel Rivals to Feature PlayStation's Spider-Man 2 Suit This Month"

Apr 03,2025 Author: Ethan

Exciting news for *Marvel Rivals* players! An unexpected crossover is bringing the Advanced Suit 2.0 from *Marvel’s Spider-Man 2* into the game as a fresh new skin. PlayStation shared the announcement on a post on X/Twitter, giving us a sneak peek at how NetEase Games is transforming this iconic video game outfit for their hero shooter.

The sleek Advanced Suit 2.0 first debuted as an original design in Insomniac Games’ *Marvel’s Spider-Man* and has since graced all three games in the series. What makes this suit stand out is its now-iconic white spider symbol. Its inclusion in *Marvel Rivals* marks a surprising collaboration between Sony and its console-exclusive superhero title. You can expect Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 to swing into the in-game store on January 30, coinciding with *Marvel’s Spider-Man 2* coming to PC.

Marvel Rivals has a surprise collaboration with Sony's Spider-Man game.

*Marvel Rivals* launched in December, boasting a plethora of unlockable suits, but this new Spidey suit stands out as a unique addition. Its connection to the immensely popular PlayStation series and the fact that it will be worn by a Spider-Man voiced by Yuri Lowenthal—the same voice actor from all three Insomniac Spider-Man games—makes it even more special. Players can expect to feel right at home as they thwip their way to victory in this familiar costume starting January 30.

NetEase's choice to introduce Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 adds another exciting element to the already rich content of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, which debuted last week. This season introduced new playable characters from the Fantastic Four, including Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman, with The Thing and Human Torch slated to join soon. Creative director Guangyun Chen has promised to launch at least one new hero every month and a half, ensuring a continuous stream of fresh content.

While we eagerly await the chance to don the new Spider-Man suit, take a moment to explore some of the custom skins players have modded into the game. You can also delve into all of the balance changes introduced with Season 1 and learn how some players are using an Invisible Woman ability to detect what they believe are bot players.
