Marvel Rivals: Season 1 Balance Adjustments Unveiled

Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls – Dracula, Fantastic Four, and Balance Changes

Get ready for the chilling debut of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls in Marvel Rivals! This season introduces Dracula as the main antagonist and welcomes the Fantastic Four to the playable roster. The launch is set for January 10th at 1 AM PST.

The Season 1 battle pass, priced at 990 Lattice (approximately $10), boasts 10 exciting skins and rewards players with 600 Lattice and 600 Units upon completion. Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman join the fray immediately, with Human Torch and The Thing arriving a few weeks later. Three new maps and a thrilling new game mode, Doom Match, add even more depth to the gameplay.

This developer update also highlights significant balance adjustments. Hela and Hawkeye, previously dominant forces, will receive nerfs to curb their overwhelming power, particularly addressing their high ban rates in competitive play. Conversely, mobility-focused Vanguards like Captain America and Venom will receive buffs to enhance their effectiveness in aggressive playstyles.

Further balance tweaks target Wolverine, Storm, and the Cloak and Dagger duo. These characters are receiving improvements to encourage diverse strategic approaches and team compositions. Adjustments to Jeff the Land Shark are also planned, focusing on aligning his early warning indicators with his ultimate ability's actual hitbox. While community feedback suggests his ultimate is overpowered, NetEase Games hasn't detailed specific nerfs at this time.

While no official statements regarding the Seasonal Bonus feature were made, community speculation anticipates shifts in hero bonuses. This feature remains a point of discussion among players, with many advocating for its removal to improve overall game balance.

Season 1 promises a substantial update, packed with fresh content and exciting balance changes. The anticipation is high among players eager to dive into the new season on launch day.
