Devolver Digital's impressive Android game library, boasting titles like GRIS, Reigns: Her Majesty, Downwell, and Reigns: Game of Thrones, is about to get even better. The terrifying "reverse-horror" game, Carrion, is making its mobile debut on October 31st.
Initially released on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in July 2020, Carrion offers a unique take on the horror genre. Developed by Phobia Game Studio and published by Devolver Digital, this mobile version promises the same chilling experience.
Carrion Mobile: A Horror From Within
In Carrion, you become the nightmare. Control a mysterious, crimson creature with a penchant for slithering, clawing, and consuming anything in its path. This "reverse-horror" approach shifts the focus from survival to inflicting terror.
Trapped within a high-security Relith Science research facility, you, as The Monster, are a being whose DNA has been extensively studied and manipulated. Having escaped containment, you'll unleash your rage, evolving and wreaking havoc as you escape. Your journey involves consuming scientists, security personnel, and anyone foolish enough to cross your path. Explore the facility, navigating vents, smashing through doors, and utilizing your tentacles to hunt. Carrion on mobile replicates the PC experience, allowing you to spread panic and destruction.
Progress through the game unlocks upgrades, enabling you to breach barriers and grow in size. Curious to see it in action? Check out the trailer below:
