Orna, the fantasy RPG and GPS MMO by Northern Forge Studios, is launching Terra's Legacy, a unique in-game event tackling real-world environmental pollution. From September 9th to 19th, players will battle pollution-themed enemies and contribute to real-world cleanup efforts.
Combating Pollution, In-Game and Out
Terra's Legacy merges virtual gameplay with real-world action. Players report polluted locations within Orna, transforming them into in-game "Gloomsites" where they fight the Murk, a pollution-representing enemy. Defeating the Murk raises awareness and contributes to environmental restoration.
Players can then plant virtual trees and Gaia apples in these Gloomsites, using the apples to enhance their characters. These apples are also harvestable by other players, fostering collaboration and rewarding community participation. A cleaner virtual world reflects a cleaner real world.
