During the event, you'll have the opportunity to complete various tasks and missions to earn special shop tickets. These tickets can be used to purchase unique thematic accessories, enhancing your Pokemon Pocket experience. Here's a comprehensive guide to the January 2025 Wonder Pick Event.

January Wonder Pick Event Part 1 Details

  • Start Date: January 6
  • End Date: January 20
  • Event Type: Wonder Pick
  • Featured Rewards: Squirtle (P-A) and Charmander (P-A)

January's Wonder Pick Event is an exciting RNG-based activity in Pokemon Pocket, offering players a chance to obtain one of the two new Promo-A cards: Charmander (P-A 032) and Squirtle (P-A 033). The first part of the event runs for two weeks, from January 6, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. to January 20, 2025, at 9:59 p.m. local time.

How to Get the Promo-A Squirtle and Charmander

During Wonder Pick Event Parts 1 & 2, you can participate in Bonus and Rare Wonder Picks, each featuring different drop rates for the Promo-A Vol.3 Squirtle and Charmander.

Bonus Wonder Picks

Bonus Wonder Picks are free offers that include one of the two Promo-A cards (or their regular variants) along with four slots of either Wonder Hourglasses or Event Ticket Shops. While it's not confirmed how often a Bonus Wonder Pick will appear during the event, data-mine calculations suggest that every time an event pick shows up, there's a 20.00% chance it's a Bonus Pick.

Rare Wonder Picks

Rare Picks have a 2.50% chance to show up during the event. But when they do, they are guaranteed to reward you with one of the two featured Promo-A cards. The distribution of the cards in each Rare Pick is RNG-based, but each card (Squirtle and Charmander) can occupy one to four slots, making your odds vary from 25% to 80%.

Wonder Pick Event Part 1 Missions and Rewards

In January's Wonder Pick Event Part 1, you can complete five basic missions to earn Event Shop Tickets (Blastoise). These tickets can then be spent in the shop's "Limited-Time / Events" section to purchase new thematic accessories.

Tips and Things to Know About Wonder Pick Events

Here are some notes to keep in mind:

  • Your tickets will carry over. Event Shop Tickets will stay in your inventory until January 29, giving you a few extra days after the event ends to decide which limited-time accessory to buy. (If the data-mined information is accurate, you’ll need a total of 31 tickets to purchase all Part 1 & 2 items.)
  • You won't receive notifications for Rare and Bonus Picks. It’s a good idea to log in every 30 minutes to an hour to check if you've received any, as the game won’t notify you while you're offline.
  • All Wonder Picks count toward the event missions. You don't need to spend your Wonder Pick Stamina on event offerings. Any pick during the event will contribute to your mission progress.
  • Avoid wasting resources on Rare Picks. Focus on pulling Promo-A cards from the free Bonus Picks and only invest in Rare Picks if the event is nearing its end and you're missing the P-A variants.
