For gaming PCs, it utilizes HMB (host memory buffer) to compensate for the lack of DRAM, using a negligible amount of your system's RAM. The Samsung 990 Evo Plus does not come with a preinstalled heatsink. However, its new single-sided design is power-efficient and generates less heat than older SSDs. This means it should work perfectly in a PS5 without thermal throttling, and you likely won't need a heatsink.
