Sybo\'s new game Subway Surfers City stealth-drops into soft launch on iOS and Android

Jan 05,2025 Author: Charlotte

Sybo Games quietly released a new Subway Surfers title for iOS and Android! Subway Surfers City, a sequel to the original, boasts improved graphics and many features added to the original over the years. Currently in soft launch, it's available in select regions.

It's a Friday, and Sybo has a surprise: a new game! The creators of Subway Surfers have stealth-launched a sequel for both iOS and Android. While hands-on impressions are still pending, app store listings reveal some details.

Subway Surfers City appears to be a direct successor, addressing the original's aging engine. It features returning characters, updated hoverboard mechanics, and significantly enhanced visuals.

The soft launch rollout is staggered. iOS users in the UK, Canada, Denmark, Indonesia, Netherlands, and the Philippines can download it. Android users in Denmark and the Philippines have access.

A Bold Move

Sybo's decision to create a sequel to its flagship title is a strategic gamble. The aging Unity engine in the original game limited development possibilities. The stealth launch approach is intriguing, especially given Subway Surfers' global popularity.

Early player reaction and the full release date remain to be seen. We eagerly anticipate the game's wider availability and hope it meets expectations.
