The competition within the gacha gaming sector is intensifying, with recent financial data from February 2025 showing a dip in earnings for several leading titles. Fans and analysts alike are closely monitoring these trends, eager to understand the dynamics at play.
miHoYo, now known as HoYoverse, has seen its three flagship games—Honkai Star Rail, Genshin Impact, and Zenless Zone Zero—experience revenue declines during this period. Honkai Star Rail, despite dropping from $50.8 million to $46.5 million, managed to secure the fourth spot in the rankings. Genshin Impact, which had previously enjoyed a surge thanks to the Mavuika banner event, saw a sharp decline from over $99 million to $26.3 million, landing it in sixth place. Zenless Zone Zero, with a decrease from $26.3 million to $17.9 million, ranked eighth.
