Sawyer进一步解释说：“如果这些限制过于严格，那就没有吸引力了，因为谁想在一个他们想探索的东西却不可能实现的地方工作呢？”
除了Sawyer，其他几位辐射开发者也表达了回归该系列的意愿。去年，《辐射》的联合创始人Tim Cain和Leonard Boyarsky表示，他们很乐意参与《辐射：新维加斯》的重制版开发。在接受The Gamer采访时，Cain表示，虽然他们热衷于参与辐射的开发，但他回归的条件也取决于所提供的创作自由——如果他能做一些新的东西。
Cain解释说：“我制作过的每一个RPG都为我提供了新的、不同的东西，让我对制作它感兴趣。正是游戏本身为我提供了有趣的东西，让我觉得‘哦，我想做这个，我以前从未做过这个。’”他补充道：“如果有人来找我说，‘你想做一个辐射游戏吗？’我的回答是‘那么，有什么新东西呢？’我甚至不想制作《辐射2》，为什么我要制作一个新的辐射游戏呢？它有什么不同？”
黑曜石工作室CEO Feargus Urquhart也表示，如果机会出现，他很乐意参与另一款辐射游戏的开发。不过，在去年1月接受Game Pressure采访时，Urquhart当时确认，新的辐射游戏不在计划中。“我们没有参与辐射的开发，我们甚至没有讨论过它会是什么样子，”他说。
Urquhart接着解释说，他们“在《宣誓》 、《Grounded》和《星空2》方面的工作非常繁忙”。“我不知道我们什么时候会开始讨论新的游戏，也许在[2023]年底，”他说。“但我坚持我所说的。在我退休之前，我很想再做一款辐射游戏。我不知道那是什么时候，我没有退休日期。很有趣，你可以说我已经52岁了，或者只有52岁。这两种说法都有，取决于哪一天。我希望那会发生，但我们还得拭目以待。”
