Xbox Game Pass Ultimate: Stream Select Games on Consoles

May 03,2025 Author: Sadie

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members have unlocked an exciting new perk: the ability to stream select games directly to their Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One consoles without the need for downloading. This groundbreaking feature was announced today via an Xbox Wire news post, expanding the cloud streaming capabilities previously available on smart TVs, PCs, smartphones, and Meta Quest headsets to consoles for the first time. This innovation helps players save time on downloads and conserve valuable hard drive space.

To take advantage of this feature, Xbox users can follow these simple steps:

  • Go to My games & apps > Full library > Owned Games.
  • Look for the cloud badge on the game pages indicating cloud playability. Use filters by choosing Filter > Ready to play > Cloud gaming to find suitable games more quickly.
  • Select the desired game and click Play with Cloud Gaming to start streaming immediately.
  • Additionally, users can stream any game installed on their Xbox consoles to devices with supported web browsers via a provided link.

Please note that while this feature is no longer supported on the Xbox mobile app, it remains accessible on mobile devices through the browser link. Xbox is also expanding this feature to Samsung and Amazon Fire smart TVs, and Meta Quest headsets.

Starting this month, Xbox and Xbox 360 backward compatible games will also support remote play, further enhancing the gaming experience across multiple devices.
