Ticket to Ride: Switzerland Expansion Brings New Routes and Challenges!

The popular digital board game, Ticket to Ride, is expanding its railway empire with the new Switzerland expansion! This exciting addition introduces country-to-country and city-to-country routes, opening up a new strategic layer to the gameplay. Now players can connect Switzerland with its neighboring countries, building their railroad networks across a wider, more intricate map.

The expansion isn't just about new locations; it also introduces two new characters and four new tokens, providing even more variety and replayability. Developer Marmalade Games timed the release for the holiday season, offering a delightful gift to Ticket to Ride fans. The updated game mechanics encourage dynamic play, challenging both seasoned players and newcomers alike.

Country-to-country tickets require players to connect specific countries, offering multiple route choices and varying point values. For example, connecting France could lead to Germany, Italy, or Austria, each with a different reward. Similarly, city-to-country tickets introduce another strategic dimension, demanding careful planning to maximize points. Each country possesses a limited number of connection points, emphasizing strategic route selection.

Points are awarded based on the highest-scoring connection completed for each ticket. Conversely, failure to connect results in point deductions based on the ticket's lowest value.

The Switzerland Expansion is currently available on Google Play, the App Store, and Steam, with releases planned for PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox soon. Stay updated on Ticket to Ride news by following Marmalade Games on Facebook and Instagram.
