The 7th generation iPad Air was released in March and represents the current model. It's only a year newer than the 6th generation model, with the primary upgrade being the transition from the M2 to the M3 chip. The M3 chip offers a performance boost of about 20% over the M2 and is only about 20% slower than the iPad Pro's M4 chip. Besides the processor, it retains the stunning Ultra Retina XDR display, Wi-Fi 6E, and 5G cellular connectivity. It's compatible with the Apple Pencil Pro, Apple Pencil (USB-C), and Magic Keyboard, effectively transforming it into an iOS hybrid laptop. The iPad Air also supports Apple Intelligence.
Apple iPad Air (2024) Review (older model) by Jacqueline Thomas
"The iPad for the rest of us. For most people who need their tablet for gaming or watching movies, the iPad Air strikes the perfect balance. It may not match the premium feel of the iPad Pro, but with its beautiful display and the still-powerful M2 processor, it doesn't need to."
Amazon has also reduced the price of the newest 2025 11th generation Apple iPad (A16) tablet. Available in Blue, Yellow, Pink, and Silver, each with 128GB of storage and Wi-Fi connectivity, they are now priced at $299 after a $50 discount. This is the best deal seen for the latest iPad model since its launch earlier this year.
