Exciting news for fans of classic point-and-click adventures: Broken Sword – Shadow of the Templars: Reforged is making its way to mobile devices soon! Publisher StoreRider has opened pre-registration for this revamped version of the beloved 90’s classic on Android. If you're a fan of immersive storytelling and intricate puzzles, you won't want to miss out on this opportunity to sign up.
Originally launched in September 1996 on PC, Broken Sword – Shadow of the Templars quickly cemented its status as a genre staple. The Reforged version, which remains faithful to the original game, first hit PC screens in September 2024.
The mobile edition boasts fully remastered audio and visuals in high definition, with stunning 4K support. The iconic and hauntingly atmospheric soundtrack by Barrington Pheloung continues to set the mood. Some areas have been transformed to look like an entirely new game, yet the original charm and vibe remain intact.
The storyline stays true to the original, following the journey of George Stobbart, a curious American who finds himself unwittingly entangled in an ancient conspiracy linked to the Knights Templar. Alongside the sharp journalist Nico Collard, they traverse from Parisian cafés to ancient ruins in Syria, Spanish backstreets to mysterious crypts in Ireland. The game’s visuals are truly captivating, and you can see them in action here!
The puzzles remain challenging, with solutions often requiring actions taken in different parts of the game, such as at the museum or the sick ward.
The new mobile version offers external controller support, mouse and keyboard compatibility for Chromebooks, and Google Play Cloud Save functionality. Plus, you can enjoy the game offline.
Broken Sword – Shadow of the Templars: Reforged is available as a one-time purchase with no ads. Pre-register now on the Google Play Store to secure a 30 percent discount at launch. Don't miss your chance to dive back into this timeless adventure!
