
The popular RPG adventure management game, The Tale of Food, featuring anthropomorphic food characters, is officially closing its doors. Initially launched in China for closed beta testing in September 2019 and later published by Tencent Games, the game's global servers will shut down on March 20th, 2025, at 10:00 AM (UTC+8).
The Tale of Food Shutdown Details:
In-game purchases have been disabled as of February 18th, 2025, and new player registrations are no longer possible. The game has also been removed from the Google Play Store. However, existing players can continue to enjoy the game until the servers' final closure on March 20th.
Refunds for Recent Purchases:
Players who made in-game purchases between January 9th and February 18th, 2025, are eligible for a refund. Contact in-game support or email the developers before March 20th to initiate the refund process. Server Closure Timeline:
- Japan Server: Shut down in April 2023.
- China Server: Shut down in June 2024.
- Global Server: Shutting down March 20th, 2025.
While the game's servers will be offline, the official X, Facebook, and Discord communities will remain active, providing a platform for players to share memories and connect.
