AFK Journey Character Tier List (January 2025)

This AFK Journey tier list helps you determine which characters to prioritize. While most characters are viable, some excel in endgame content. This ranking considers versatility, overall performance in PvE, Dream Realm, and PvP.

AFK Journey Tier List

It's important to note that most AFK Journey heroes are usable. However, some are superior for challenging endgame content.

This tier list ranks characters based on versatility, overall performance in standard PvE, Dream Realm, and PvP.

S-Tier Characters

Lily May, a recent addition, is a top-tier Wilder, offering significant damage and utility. She excels in PvP (countering Eironn teams), PvE, and Dream Realm.

Thoran remains a top F2P tank, especially before acquiring Phraesto. Reinier is the priority support for both PvE and PvP, crucial for Dream Realm and Arena.

Koko and Smokey & Meerky are essential supports for various game modes. Odie shines in Dream Realm and all PvE.

Eironn, with Damien and Arden, forms a dominant Arena team.

Tasi, another excellent Wilder, provides crowd control across most game modes. Harak, a Hypogean/Celestial warrior, is exceptionally strong, gaining attack and defense with each kill.

A-Tier Characters

Lyca and Vala effectively utilize the Haste stat, increasing attack frequency and speed. Lyca boosts party Haste, while Vala increases her own with each marked enemy kill. Lyca's PvP performance can be inconsistent.

Antandra is a solid alternative tank to Thoran, offering taunts, shields, and crowd control.

Viperian complements a Graveborn core with energy drain and AoE attacks, excelling outside Dream Realm.

Alsa (added May 2024) is a strong DPS mage, particularly effective in PvP with Eironn. She's easier to build than Carolina and serves a similar role.

Phraesto (added June 2024) is a durable tank, but lacks damage output.

Ludovic (added August 2024) is a strong Graveborn healer, working well with Talene and excelling in PvP.

Cecia, while a good Marksman, has decreased in value due to Lily May and Dream Realm meta shifts.

Sonja (added December 2024) significantly improves the Lightborne faction, offering respectable damage and utility across all game modes.

B-Tier Characters

B-Tier characters are suitable for filling roles but generally lack the investment value of higher tiers. Replace them with A or S-tier heroes when possible.

Valen and Brutus are strong early-game DPS options. Granny Dahnie is a decent alternative tank to Thoran and Antandra, offering debuffs and heals.

Arden and Damien are PvP meta mainstays but less effective in other modes.

Florabelle (added April 2024) is a secondary DPS supporting Cecia but not essential.

Soren (added May 2024) is decent in PvP but not optimal elsewhere.

Korin's Dream Realm effectiveness has decreased.

C-Tier Characters

C-Tier characters are generally outclassed after AFK level 100. Focus on summoning better replacements.

Parisa, while offering strong AoE crowd control, is quickly surpassed.
