American rock band Alien Ant Farm has expressed disappointment at not being included in the soundtrack for *Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4*, following their previous appearance in the franchise. The band’s hit track "Wish" was featured in the original *Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4*, but it appears to have been left out of the upcoming remake's playlist.
While a number of classic songs from the original *Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3* and *4* soundtracks have made a return—including fan favorites like Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades”—others have been replaced with new additions, prompting reactions from both fans and artists alike.
Alien Ant Farm addressed the omission after the band’s social media account posted a sad face emoji in response to the official soundtrack reveal for *Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4*. Guitarist Terry Corso admitted that not being included was “absolutely” a letdown.
“Is it a bummer that we weren't invited, or that they didn't include us? Absolutely,” Corso told BBC News. “We understand that they're trying to bring some new stuff onto these releases, and if you've gotta make cuts, you've gotta make cuts. I don't know why it had to be us—I feel like our song was really good on there and it did really well.”
Lead vocalist Dryden Mitchell added perspective, acknowledging that while the band doesn’t fit the traditional punk aesthetic often associated with skate culture, diversity in music is what makes a soundtrack compelling.
“I kind of get it, that skating feels a little more punk \[and\] we're not a punk band,” Mitchell said. “But I think that's what makes a cool soundtrack—is a collection, being different.”
Fan Reactions and Tony Hawk’s Response
Fan responses to the updated soundtrack were mixed. While many celebrated the return of iconic tracks from bands like CKY and Iron Maiden, others lamented the absence of popular acts such as Red Hot Chili Peppers and Zebrahead.
In response to the community discussion, Tony Hawk himself took to Instagram to clarify the creative direction behind the soundtrack selection.
“It was my choice to pick some different songs by the same artists featured in THPS3+4 OST,” Hawk explained. “I'm hoping that discovery is half the fun, and a big reason that these soundtracks resonated in the first place. So listen and enjoy the ride.”
Game Updates and New Additions
Beyond the soundtrack, the game retains much of its classic charm, featuring familiar skate parks and skaters. However, it also introduces fresh content, including new maps and characters—most curiously, Michaelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, who joins the roster as a playable character.
