Dell is currently offering one of the best deals on a prebuilt desktop equipped with an RTX 5080 GPU. You can grab the Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 gaming PC for just $2,399.99 shipped. This is an excellent price for a high-quality, warrantied system that's perfect for 4K gaming at high frame rates. But there's an even more enticing offer available: for only $100 more, you can upgrade to a configuration featuring an Intel Core Ultra 9 CPU and double the memory.
In today's market, purchasing a prebuilt gaming PC is the most cost-effective way to get your hands on an RTX 5080 GPU without facing a hefty markup. Attempting to source this GPU for a DIY build could cost nearly as much as an entire prebuilt system. While most prebuilt PCs come with inflated prices, this Alienware deal stands out as an exception.

Dell has recently discounted an upgraded version of the Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 gaming PC, making it a better deal despite the $100 higher price. This configuration includes an Intel Core Ultra 9 285 CPU and 32GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM. The Core Ultra 9 285 CPU offers a turbo frequency that's 300MHz faster and has 4 more cores than the Intel Core Ultra 7 265F.
The RTX 5080 is the second-highest-end Blackwell graphics card, only surpassed by the $2,000 RTX 5090. In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie notes, "If you already have a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not be worth the upgrade – it doesn’t offer a significant performance lead over the RTX 4080, though the extra frames from DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation do enhance gameplay in supported titles. However, for gamers with older graphics cards seeking a substantial performance boost, the RTX 5080 is a game-changer, especially if you're keen on Nvidia’s AI enhancements."
