Alienware has just slashed the price of the Alienware m18 R2 RTX 4090 gaming laptop to an enticing $2,999.99, down from $3,599.99, thanks to a $600 instant discount. This beast of a laptop is the largest and most powerful model in Alienware's lineup, designed as a mobile desktop replacement. When outfitted with the RTX 4090 mobile GPU, it's capable of outperforming many dedicated gaming desktop PCs. This high-end configuration boasts Intel's top-tier i9 processor and Nvidia's most powerful mobile GPU, making it a dream machine for gamers.

The Alienware m18 "R2" model, updated for 2024, represents the pinnacle of Alienware's gaming laptop offerings. This year's model features Intel's 14th gen HX processors and supports Wi-Fi 7. The build quality is exceptional, featuring a premium bead-blasted anodized aluminum chassis, a full-sized keyboard with a numpad, and an advanced Cryo-Tech cooling system that includes a vapor chamber, quad heatpipes, and four exhaust fans.
This configuration is the epitome of power, equipped with an 18" 2560x1600 QHD+ 165Hz display, an Intel Core i9-14900HX CPU, a GeForce RTX 4090 mobile GPU, 32GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 2TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core i9-14900HX processor is a powerhouse with 24 cores and 32 threads, reaching a max turbo clock speed of 5.8GHz. It's currently the best Intel mobile chip available, outshining even the latest Intel Core Ultra 9 CPUs.
The RTX 4090 mobile GPU operates at a maximum TGP of 165W (150W + 15W dynamic boost), making it the most powerful mobile GPU on the market by a significant margin. It's roughly equivalent to a desktop RTX 3090 GPU, capable of running any game at 2560x1600 or 1920x1200 resolutions, as well as on any externally connected higher-resolution gaming monitor. For 4K gaming, the RTX 4090 is the only mobile GPU I'd recommend. Given its power demands, the laptop comes with a robust 330W power brick. If you're seeking a primary gaming rig without compromising on portability, the RTX 4090 version is the top choice.
