Crunchyroll's Ani-May celebration is right around the corner, and it's bringing a wave of excitement for fans of cult Japanese releases. With Crunchyroll Game Vault already a hotspot for enthusiasts, the Ani-May event promises to elevate the experience by introducing a new game release to the service each week throughout May.
The festivities kick off on April 30th with the addition of the Square Enix classic, Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth. This enhanced version of the original game invites players to embody the spirit guardian Lenneth, embarking on a quest to gather fallen heroes in preparation for the epic battle of Ragnarok, set in a world steeped in Norse mythology.
But the fun doesn't stop there. May will see a diverse lineup of titles to suit various tastes. From the chilling horror RPG Corpse Party to the light-hearted slice-of-life adventure Shin Chan: Shiro and the Coal Town, and the mobile debut of the survival horror game White Day, there's something for everyone.
While we've highlighted some of the standout releases, Crunchyroll Game Vault has even more surprises in store. To discover all the new additions, make sure to check the platform regularly. As some streaming services like Netflix have faced challenges in engaging the gaming community, Crunchyroll has successfully carved out a niche with its focus on Eastern imports, catering to a dedicated cult audience.
With an impressive library boasting over 50 releases, Crunchyroll Game Vault is on track for further expansion. If you're a subscriber, don't miss out on exploring the exciting new titles arriving this May.
For those considering other options, Netflix has been making strides in the gaming sector with a selection of exclusive indie games. If you're curious, take a look at our curated list of the top 10 best games currently available on Netflix.
