If you're in the market for a robust power bank to keep your high-demand gaming handhelds like the Steam Deck or ROG Ally X charged, Amazon currently has an unbeatable deal on the Anker PowerCore 737. Priced at just $49.99, this 24,000mAh, 140W power bank is available through Woot, an Amazon-owned marketplace. This price is a significant $20 drop from the last lowest price we tracked, making it an exceptional value. Having personally used this model for several years across multiple flights and road trips, I can confidently say it remains in excellent condition and highly recommend it.
Anker 737 24,000mAh 140W Power Bank for $49.99
Originally priced at $149.99, now available for $49.99 at Amazon, the Anker 737 is a top choice for charging devices like the Steam Deck. This power bank, though sizable at 4.6"x2.2"x2" and weighing 1.4lbs, is designed for travel bags rather than pockets. It features two USB Type-C ports and one USB Type-A port, with the Type-C ports capable of delivering up to 140W. This flexibility allows for various charging configurations such as 140W from one port or combinations like 70W + 70W or 100W + 40W.
For gaming handhelds, the Anker 737 supports the maximum charging rates: 38W for the Steam Deck, 65W for the Asus ROG Ally, 100W for the Asus ROG Ally X, and 18W for the Nintendo Switch. This means you can charge these devices at their peak rates and even play while charging.
The 24,000mAh battery offers a 74Whr capacity. With an 80% power efficiency, you get approximately 59Whr of usable charge. This translates to fully charging a Steam Deck or Asus ROG Ally 1.5 times, an Asus ROG Ally X 0.75 times, and a Nintendo Switch about 3.7 times. This capacity underscores why a 20,000mAh power bank is essential for power-hungry devices like the Steam Deck and ROG Ally series.
The Anker 737 meets TSA regulations with its 74Whr capacity, well under the 100Whr limit for carry-on luggage. While its robust appearance might prompt additional screening, it has consistently cleared checkpoints without issues. My personal experience includes passing through numerous airports, with only one inspection at Tokyo NRT, and no problems encountered.
