Pokémon GO launches the Sweet Discoveries event, spotlighting Applin’s debut. Collectors and shiny hunters won’t want to miss this. Read on for event details.
When Does Applin Appear in Pokémon GO?
The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and ends April 29th at 8:00 p.m. Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon from Galar, makes its first appearance in Pokémon GO.
Evolving Applin into Flapple requires 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. For Appletun, you’ll need 200 candies and 20 Sweet Apples. Dipplin’s final evolution is Hydrapple.
Apples are key for evolution and spawn in the wild. Tapping them may yield a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Mossy Lure Modules boost their appearance rate.
Fun Fact
Applin lives inside an apple, disguising itself as fruit to evade bird Pokémon predators. It’s easily one of the most adorable Pokémon in Pokémon GO.
During Sweet Discoveries, the shop offers new avatar items: an Applin Headband and Applin Apron. Event bonuses include 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet are more likely to appear in the wild. You’ll also have a higher chance of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs.
Berries add a fun twist: catching Delibird or Skwovet rewards you with berries. Download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store if you haven’t yet.
