Mastering Buzz Lightyear in Brawl Stars: A Comprehensive Guide

Brawl Stars' newest brawler, Buzz Lightyear, is a limited-time addition, available only until February 4th. This guide will help you unlock and effectively utilize his unique abilities before he's gone. Buzz Lightyear's defining feature is his ability to switch between three distinct combat modes before each match, offering unparalleled versatility.

How to Play Buzz Lightyear

Buzz Lightyear is a free unlock from the in-game shop, arriving at Power Level 11 with his Gadget already unlocked. He lacks Star Powers and Gears, but his single Gadget, Turbo Boosters, allows for quick dashes, ideal for closing in on enemies or escaping danger. His Hypercharge, Bravado, temporarily boosts his stats. Both Gadget and Hypercharge function across all three modes.

Here's a breakdown of Buzz's modes:

Mode Image Stats Attack Super
Laser Mode Health: 6000, Movement Speed: Normal, Range: Long, Reload Speed: Fast 2160 5 x 1000
Saber Mode Health: 8400, Movement Speed: Very Fast, Range: Short, Reload Speed: Normal 2400 1920
Wing Mode Health: 7200, Movement Speed: Very Fast, Range: Normal, Reload Speed: Normal 2 x 2000 -

Laser Mode excels at long-range combat with a burn effect. Saber Mode is ideal for close-quarters, functioning similarly to Bibi's attacks and featuring the Tank Trait. Wing Mode offers a balanced approach, best used at mid-range.

Optimal Game Modes for Buzz Lightyear

Buzz's adaptability makes him effective in various game modes. Saber Mode thrives in close-quarters maps like Showdown, Gem Grab, and Brawl Ball. Its Super allows precise targeting, making it particularly strong against Throwers. Laser Mode shines in open maps (Knockout, Bounty) due to its burn effect, hindering opponent healing. Even at low health, his aggressive playstyle is effective in Trophy Events and Arcade Mode. Note that Buzz Lightyear is unavailable in Ranked Mode.

Buzz Lightyear Mastery Rewards

Buzz's Mastery cap is 16,000 points. Here's a look at the rewards:
