AMD's latest Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT graphics cards have hit the market today, and they're flying off the shelves. But don't worry if you missed out on the standalone GPUs; you can still snag these powerful cards in prebuilt gaming PCs at very competitive prices. The Radeon RX 9070 series is setting the standard for mid-range performance this generation, offering exceptional value by outperforming their Nvidia counterparts at a lower cost.

Our review of the AMD Radeon RX 9070 gave it an impressive 8/10 rating. Priced the same as the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070, the RX 9070 delivers superior performance in most games we tested and comes with more VRAM (16GB vs 12GB), making it a more future-proof choice. Power consumption is on par with the RTX 5070.
AMD Radeon RX 9070 Review by Jacqueline Thomas
"The AMD Radeon RX 9070 is a standout 1440p graphics card that leaves the competition in the dust. It delivers stellar 1440p performance, often reaching high refresh rates without frame generation, and includes an AI upscaler for enhanced image quality. The only drawback is its close performance to the Radeon RX 9070 XT."
The AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT earned a perfect 10/10 from us. Despite being $150 cheaper than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, it outperforms it in several games, with some benchmarks showing a significant lead. Like the RX 9070, it also features 16GB of VRAM. However, it does consume more power and runs hotter than the RTX 5070 Ti.
AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Review by Jacqueline Thomas
"Since 2020, PC gaming has been on a downward spiral, but the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT is a beacon of hope. This card effortlessly handles any game at 4K, even with ray tracing, at a price that makes the competition seem exorbitant. While the future of its launch price is uncertain, one thing is clear: we need more graphics cards like the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT."
