Season 2 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has arrived, bringing with it a game-changer for camo completionists: Camo Challenge Tracking. This new feature significantly streamlines the often-grueling camo grind, making the pursuit of Dark Matter, Nebula, and 100 Percenter achievements more manageable.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Simplifies Camo Challenge Progress

The patch notes describe Camo Challenge Tracking as a way to "easily track up to 10 Camo and 10 Calling Card Challenges." But the real benefit extends beyond simple tracking. The system also cleverly highlights challenges nearing completion, even those not actively tracked, providing helpful nudges toward your next unlock. This means you can focus on your chosen 10, while still being aware of other close-to-completion challenges.

Selecting challenges to track is intuitive. Simply navigate to the desired Camo or Calling Card challenge and press Y (Xbox) or Triangle (PlayStation) to add it to your tracker. From then on, you can monitor your progress live during matches, eliminating the need to constantly check the main menu.

Even without actively tracking a challenge, the game automatically suggests those closest to completion. This information is always accessible, keeping you informed about your progress. Additionally, the Daily Challenges section in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 lobby displays your top tracked and near-complete challenges, providing a comprehensive overview.

This season's update also simplifies the path to special camos. Previously requiring nine preceding military camos, now only five are needed. However, unlocking two special camos remains a prerequisite for the coveted mastery camos.

The addition of Camo Challenge Tracking directly addresses player feedback regarding the sheer number of camos and the difficulty of tracking progress. Treyarch has clearly listened, implementing a much-needed improvement to enhance the overall Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 experience.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
