If you've been eagerly anticipating the release of Cassette Beasts, the retro-inspired creature-collecting and battling RPG, and you're using an iOS device, you're in luck as it's now available for download. However, if you're an Android user, you might be wondering why the promised release is nowhere to be found. Unfortunately, we have some disappointing news for you.
While iOS users can dive into the world of Cassette Beasts immediately, Android enthusiasts are facing a delay. Developer Bytten Studio has confirmed that the Android release has been temporarily pulled due to pending approval for a new patch on Google Play. This patch aims to address some issues that surfaced just before the planned release.
It's a setback, especially since Cassette Beasts combines classic creature-collecting mechanics with engaging battles and expansive overworld exploration, making it a highly anticipated launch. These last-minute delays are often unpredictable, and we hope that the issues will be resolved swiftly, allowing Android players to enjoy Cassette Beasts soon.
Beastly Business
It's an unfortunate reality that sometimes game launches don't go as planned. What makes it more challenging is when a last-minute patch is required, as in this case, and the approval process on Google Play can cause delays.
Given the recent buzz around alternative app stores, one might wonder if a broader launch strategy involving platforms with quicker approval processes could have mitigated this issue. It's certainly a thought worth considering, though we anticipate Cassette Beasts will return to the Google Play Store within a few days, ready for Android users to enjoy.
In the meantime, if you're looking for something to keep you occupied until Cassette Beasts is back on Google Play, why not check out some of the top new mobile games we've highlighted in our latest feature?
