AppSir's retro-styled platformer, Climb Knight, is getting a significant free update on February 25th! This isn't just any update; it includes three brand new, quirky one-bit minigames and a mysterious advisor character reminiscent of Apple Newton shareware.
AppSir consistently delivers unique and enjoyable indie experiences on mobile, as evidenced by our positive review of their previous title, Spooky Pixel Hero. Their games often feature a distinctive spooky, retro aesthetic. Climb Knight, despite already receiving a favorable review, is getting this substantial update as a thank you to players.
The addition of the advisor character, however, hints at something more than meets the eye, given AppSir's penchant for intriguing and slightly unsettling game mechanics. Expect the unexpected!
AppSir's success demonstrates that dedicated indie developers can create popular mobile games by embracing originality and a unique style. While not quite the "New Blood" of smartphone gaming, they share a similar spooky, retro vibe with the acclaimed Faith trilogy.
