Clue Mobile Now Features 2016 Suspects

Marmalade Game Studio has just released the 2016 Suspects Pack for the digital version of Clue, also known as Cluedo. If you're a fan of this classic murder-mystery game, you'll be thrilled to know that you can now play as some of the iconic characters from the 2016 edition.

Who Are the 2016 Clue aka Cluedo Suspects?

The pack introduces Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Reverend Green, Professor Plum, Dr. Orchid, and Mrs. Peacock. This update focuses solely on these beloved characters, allowing you to integrate them into any scenario you desire, without being bound to specific crime scenes or case files. This flexibility lets you choose your nostalgic favorite and mix them with the newer 2023 cast if you wish.

Fans of the 2016 version have been vocal about their desire to see these characters return, especially with the introduction of the more modern 2023 characters. It's great to see that Marmalade listened to the community and responded with this exciting pack.

There’s More Coming to the Game!

In addition to the 2016 Suspects, Clue aka Cluedo is introducing a new Retro Rules Set game mode. This mode, which is completely free, harks back to the original 1949 rules, bringing with it some nostalgic mechanics that alter gameplay. For instance, tokens will start from designated spots on the board, and Miss Scarlet will always take the first move—unless she's absent, in which case Colonel Mustard steps in.

In this mode, you must be in a room to make an accusation, and Clue Cards are omitted entirely. Additionally, you cannot move through squares occupied by other players, adding a strategic layer to the game.

Be sure to check out the game on the Google Play Store to experience these updates firsthand.
