Bloober Team's chilling sci-fi horror, Cronos: The New Dawn, launches September 5, 2025 for Nintendo Switch 2 alongside PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S versions.
The studio confirmed the release date during today's July 2025 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, accompanied by a new gameplay trailer showcasing the Switch 2 version. The footage reveals terrifying enemies, innovative time-travel mechanics, and an upgrade system - marking Bloober's first major project since their acclaimed Silent Hill 2 remake.
"In this dystopian future, mutated remnants of humanity stalk the wasteland," the presentation revealed. "Scavenge limited resources to craft ammunition and supplies, but stay vigilant - when monsters absorb fallen foes, they transform into even more horrifying abominations."
Our recent hands-on preview found Cronos: The New Dawn successfully blends survival horror inspirations into something uniquely disturbing. We praised how Bloober "selects the genre's finest elements to forge its own terrifying creation" with clear nods to classics like Dead Space.
