The PlayStation 5 Pro console launched in November 2024. It's a more powerful version of the standard PS5. Typically, you'd have to choose between a "Quality mode" offering true 4K graphics but capped at 30fps, or a "Performance mode" with upscaled 1440p (or lower) graphics reaching up to 60fps. Thanks to the power of the new PS5 Pro, however, many games can now run at native 4K resolution and up to 60fps. The console's retail price is $699.99, which is $200 more than the standard PS5 and does not include a disc drive by default. You would need to purchase an add-on disc drive for an additional $79.99.
