The 2024 Alienware "R16" Desktop Chassis Remains Largely Unchanged for 2025
The R16 represents Alienware's 2024 desktop PC design. Although Dell introduced a new Area 51 chassis at CES 2025, it closely resembles the R16 in both appearance and design. The R16 is 40% smaller in volume compared to previous models and features an effective airflow system, drawing air through side intake vents over the GPU area and a 120mm front fan, and exhausting it via a 120mm rear fan and two 120mm top fans. Most R16 systems come equipped with an all-in-one liquid cooler with a 240mm radiator mounted at the top of the case.
