Our Devil May Cry Season 1 review noted: "While flawed with awkward CG, hit-or-miss humor, and predictable character arcs, Adi Shankar and Studio Mir deliver an entertaining adaptation that serves as both tribute and critique of 2000s American pop culture. Its standout animation quality and explosive finale perfectly set up an even more ambitious second season."
The Season 2 renewal comes as no surprise, as creator Adi Shankar had previously outlined plans for a multi-season story arc.
