Blizzard has unveiled all the details for Diablo 4 Season 7, Season of Witchcraft, set to launch on January 21. Since its debut in 2023, Blizzard has consistently enriched Diablo 4 with regular updates, seasonal content, and expansive additions, including a major expansion, with more on the horizon for this beloved action-RPG.
Diablo 4's seasonal updates are key to keeping the community engaged between expansions. While some seasons have varied in excitement, Season of Witchcraft promises to be a significant chapter, marking the end of "Chapter 1" with Season 6 and the beginning of "Chapter 2" with Season 7.
Diablo 4 Season of Witchcraft kicks off on Tuesday, January 21 at 10am PST. Players will join forces with the Witches of Hawezar to recover heads stolen from the Tree of Whispers. This alliance offers players a chance to enhance their abilities through witchcraft, alongside the introduction of Occult Gems that unlock new powers reminiscent of Diablo 3. These gems, and the powers they confer, will be crucial in battles against the formidable Headrotten Bosses, which, when vanquished, drop valuable rewards including the coveted Occult Gems.
In addition to new gameplay elements, Season 7 will introduce quality-of-life enhancements. A notable upgrade is coming to the Diablo 4 armory, allowing players to save and switch between different loadouts effortlessly. The season also brings new seasonal rewards, such as unique and legendary items, and the opportunity to unlock the Raven pet by engaging in the Season Journey and completing the new Battle Pass.
Owners of the Vessel of Hatred expansion will enjoy enhanced seasonal content, gaining access to three new Runes during Season 7. Blizzard has always highlighted that certain seasonal content would be exclusive to expansion owners, and this trend is set to continue, potentially expanding in the future.
