Acquire Your Pet
Upon launching Diablo 4 Season 7, immediately visit the nearest town's Wardrobe. Claim your pet! While combat-ineffective, it efficiently gathers gold and materials, freeing you to focus on combat and loot.
Recruit Your Mercenaries
Vessel of Hatred expansion owners should visit the Den and recruit Mercenaries. Solo players can utilize two, simplifying leveling and combat while building Rapport for extra rewards.
Conquer the Seasonal Questline
Begin on Normal difficulty and follow the green leaf-marked seasonal questline. This introduces new mechanics like Headhunt zones, Grim Favors for the Tree of Whispers, and Witch powers. While short, it includes puzzles and primarily involves farming Favors in Headhunt zones – the optimal path to level 60. Repeatedly defeat Headhunt zone bosses, collect Favors, and upgrade Witch powers simultaneously.
Unlock Class Power
Previously completed class-specific priority quests are now transferable. Log in with an existing character (on the Eternal realm) who has completed these quests, then log in with your new Season 7 character to automatically unlock class power upon reaching the required level.
Headhunt Zone Strategies
Focus on Whispers within Headhunt zones. Prioritize smaller zones for higher enemy density and faster mob farming while completing Whispers. Prioritize these Whisper quests:
- Fugitive Shepherd: Escort animals.
- Fugitive: Defeat Elites, interact with roots to recover a head or destroy a husk.
Exchange 10 Grim Favors for a cache at the Tree of Whispers, or utilize the Raven of the Tree found in each Headhunt zone.
Mastering Witchcraft Powers
Purchase and upgrade Witchcraft powers at the Tree of Whispers using Restless Rot (obtained by killing Rot enemies). Prioritize damage upgrades. Forgotten Altars (found in dungeons, Nightmare Dungeons, Pits, and Rootholds at Torment 1 or higher, or with a Draught of Whispers) offer unique Witch powers.
Exploring Rootholds
Access Rootholds using Whispering Wood (obtained from Whispers and Silent Chests). These rogue-lite dungeons offer modifiers affecting loot quality. Save keys for Torment 1 for optimal Ancestral loot.
Utilizing Occult Gems
Craft Occult Gems (with Gelena at the Tree of Whispers) for jewelry slots, superior to regular gems. Requires Restless Rot and Heads (from Roothold bosses and Headhunt Fugitives, increased chance with Draught of Whispers). Focus on these late-game.
Tackling Pits, Infernal Hordes, and Nightmare Dungeons
Continue incorporating Pits (for Glyph leveling) and Nightmare Dungeons (for Glyphs) into your routine. Farm Infernal Hordes for masterworking materials to enhance Uniques.
