Bandai Namco showcased Digimon Alysion, a new mobile trading card game, at DIGIMON CON 2025. Dive into the details of this exciting project and the latest trailer for Digimon Story: Time Stranger.
At the DIGIMON CON 2025 livestream on March 20, Bandai Namco unveiled Digimon Alysion, a mobile trading card game currently under development. Following the success of titles like Pokémon TCG Pocket and Marvel Snap, Digimon aims to capture a broader audience in the mobile gaming space.
Digimon Alysion is a free-to-play digital card game where players collect cards featuring iconic Digimon and characters, build custom decks, and compete against others. The game is set to include a rich story mode, offering players more than just standard and competitive gameplay options.

Alongside the reveal, Bandai Namco shared a trailer highlighting gameplay glimpses and introducing an all-female cast for the anticipated story mode. New characters include Kanata Hondo, Futre, and Valner Dragnogh, joined by a new Digimon, Gemmon.
No release date for Digimon Alysion has been confirmed, but Bandai Namco announced an upcoming closed beta test, with more details to follow.

DIGIMON CON 2025 also provided fresh insights into Digimon Story: Time Stranger. Producer Ryosuke Hara discussed the game’s background, key characters, and signature moves of select Digimon featured in the title.
Hara confirmed that players can choose from three starter Digimon—Patamon, Gomamon, and DemiDevimon—popular characters from the original Digimon Adventure anime. These Digimon were previously hinted at in the game’s promotional artwork.
The game boasts a roster of over 450 Digimon, surpassing its predecessor, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker’s Memory, which featured 330. The new trailer showcased fan-favorites like Angewomon, Gallantmon, and Agumon.

Hara also shared details about the game’s narrative and protagonists. Players can select between two main characters: Dan Yuki (male) or Kanan Yuki (female), both secret agents for ADAMAS, an organization tackling threats to humans and Digimon. The main heroine, Inori Misono, and her partner Aegiomon, will join players on their journey. The story revolves around time travel, with the protagonists navigating different eras.
The event featured additional reveals, including the Digimon Anime’s 25th Anniversary PV, new starter decks and booster packs for the Digimon Trading Card Game, and a new anime series, Digimon Beatbreak, set to debut in October 2025. With these developments, the Digimon franchise is poised for an exciting future, so fans should keep an eye out for more updates.
Digimon Story: Time Stranger is slated for release in 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Stay tuned for the latest updates on the game by checking out our detailed article below!
