To embark on this feline adventure, you'll need to journey to the Omi region, typically around the midpoint of the game's storyline. Ensure your characters are well-prepared and powerful enough to tackle the challenges ahead. Head northeast to reach Omi.
Your destination is Lake Biwa, a vast body of water central to the Omi region. It's advisable to secure a boat as soon as possible, either from the settlements of Azuchi or Omizo. Alternatively, you can swim to your destination, though a boat is recommended for ease and speed.
Aim for the larger island in the middle of Lake Biwa, located just northwest of Azuchi. Upon arrival, the game will unveil Okishima Island, featuring a Kakurega where you can rest. You'll notice plenty of dried fish near the docks, a clear sign that this island is home to a particular type of animal.
To immerse yourself in the cat-filled environment of Okishima, head north towards the Leap of Faith. As you ascend, you'll encounter an increasing number of cats. Don't forget to pet them to add these adorable creatures to your collection for use in the Hideout, especially the elusive rare kittens which are hard to find elsewhere.
While many Leaps of Faith in the game reveal new map locations, the true treasure on Okishima is the companionship of these feline friends. After exploring and landing in the haystack, there isn't much left to do except enjoy the cats' company. You'll also return to Okishima later in Yasuke’s storyline, giving you another chance to visit.
