Donkey Kong Bananza offers standard edition options only, with the sole choice being between physical or digital formats.
While Nintendo introduces a new $79.99 price tier for select Switch 2 titles (including Mario Kart World) and enhanced original Switch games like Super Mario Party Jamboree, Donkey Kong Bananza maintains the $69.99 price point. This represents a $10 increase over typical Switch game pricing, but remains below the premium tier.
Marking Donkey Kong's first major 3D adventure since 1999's Donkey Kong 64, Bananza introduces groundbreaking digging mechanics that let our hero smash through terrain vertically and horizontally. Early footage reveals abundant underground secrets and treasures waiting to be discovered.
While focusing on subterranean exploration, the game delivers varied environments including lush forests, desert canyons, tropical lagoons, and icy expanses. Faithful to franchise traditions, expect classic side-scrolling segments and exhilarating minecart sequences. For deeper analysis, check our exclusive hands-on preview.
