New Story Trailer and Large-Scale Beta Weekend Announced
*Dune: Awakening* is on the fast track to launch, and a thrilling large-scale beta weekend is on the horizon. Funcom made the announcement on their official website on April 25, revealing plans for a dedicated weekend to test *Dune: Awakening* globally. Alongside this announcement, they unveiled a captivating new trailer showcasing some of the game's cinematic cutscenes and intriguing story snippets.The beta test is set to welcome a significant number of new players and, unlike previous closed betas, will not be under an NDA. This means participants can freely share their experiences and even stream their gameplay online. As stated in the announcement, "With access to the first 20 hours of the game and most of Act 1 of the story, you will get a taste of both spice and story."
To secure your spot in the Beta weekend, you can wishlist and request access through Dune: Awakening’s Steam page, or keep an eye out for Beta codes during the game’s global broadcast on May 10. Stay tuned for more details about the beta soon.
Global LAN Party on May 10
Mark your calendars for May 10, as Funcom will host a Global Dune: Awakening LAN party, broadcast live from both London and PAX East. The event kicks off at 12 PM PDT / 3 PM EDT / 9 PM CEST / 8 PM BST on their official Twitch channel. Here's the schedule to help you plan:

During the live event, the hosts will travel virtually to different locations worldwide to check in on players enjoying the game. Lead developers will be on hand to provide insights into the game, while content creators will compete head-to-head in thrilling in-game challenges.
What's more, tens of thousands of Beta keys will be distributed during the broadcast, offering instant access to the Beta weekend. Just a few days prior, the developers will host their third livestream, this time focusing on the game’s base-building mechanics.
