EA Play to Remove 2 Games in Feb 2025

Summary

  • Two games are leaving EA Play in February 2025.
  • Madden NFL 23 will be removed on February 15, while F1 22 will be taken off on February 28.
  • Additionally, UFC 3's online services will shut down on February 17.

EA Play subscribers should take note: two games will be departing the service in February 2025. EA Play, EA's own subscription platform, offers members a host of benefits including free game trials, full game access, and more. You can subscribe to EA Play independently or enjoy it as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

One of the key advantages of EA Play is its extensive library, which includes both classic and recent titles from EA's catalog. However, like all subscription services, EA Play occasionally removes games from its lineup. Unfortunately, this February will see the departure of two popular titles.

EA has confirmed that Madden NFL 23 will leave EA Play on February 15, and F1 22 will follow on February 28. It's important to clarify that while these games are being removed from the EA Play service, their online multiplayer features will not shut down immediately. Nevertheless, these services will eventually cease, so subscribers should make the most of Madden NFL 23 and F1 22 while they still can.

List of Games Leaving EA Play Soon

  • Madden NFL 23 - February 15
  • F1 22 - February 28

The removal of Madden NFL 23 and F1 22 from EA Play isn't the only disappointing news for EA fans in February 2025. UFC 3's online services will also shut down on February 17. It remains uncertain whether UFC 3 will still be available on EA Play post-shutdown, but the loss of online features will significantly impact gameplay. Therefore, EA Play subscribers might want to prioritize playing UFC 3 before this change.

While the departure of these EA titles from the EA Play lineup is a letdown, there's a silver lining: newer iterations of these games remain accessible on the service. After February, subscribers can still enjoy Madden NFL 24, F1 23, and UFC 4. Moreover, UFC 5 is set to join the EA Play lineup on January 14. While it's always disheartening to see games leave subscription services, the availability of newer versions helps ease the transition.
