The film will be produced by a powerhouse team including Peter Rice, Andrew Macdonald, and Allon Reich from DNA Films, alongside George R. R. Martin, the creator of A Song of Ice and Fire, and Vince Gerardis, co-executive producer of Game of Thrones. While it's unclear if FromSoftware's president and Elden Ring's director Hidetaka Miyazaki will be involved, anticipation is high. Elden Ring Coming Off Strong This 2025

As the live-action film takes shape, the Elden Ring video game franchise continues to thrive with new releases on the horizon. Launched in 2022, the original Elden Ring quickly became a phenomenon, selling over 13.4 million copies within its first five weeks. By April 2025, the game celebrated selling 30 million copies worldwide, a testament to its enduring popularity. It has also garnered over 324 Game of the Year awards, making it one of the most celebrated titles in gaming history. The 2024 DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, further solidified its acclaim.

FromSoftware is not slowing down in 2025, with two exciting new releases for fans to look forward to. First, Elden Ring Nightreign, a co-op action game set in the new realm of Limveld, will have players assume the roles of Nightfarers tasked with thwarting the rise of the Nightlord. This spinoff maintains the core elements of Elden Ring but introduces a fresh multiplayer experience. It's scheduled for release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on May 30th.

Secondly, the Elden Ring Tarnished Edition, designed for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, is set to launch later this year.
