Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test: Three-Hour Daily Limit
The upcoming Elden Ring Nightreign network test will impose a three-hour daily playtime restriction, running from February 14th to 17th. This limited access, exclusively for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 players, will allow FromSoftware to conduct crucial technical verifications and large-scale network load tests. Applications are currently open via the official FromSoftware website.
Following the phenomenal success of Elden Ring in 2022, the announcement of Nightreign, a spin-off rather than a sequel or further DLC, generated significant excitement. While leveraging Elden Ring's foundation, Nightreign introduces a notable shift in FromSoftware's design approach. Co-op gameplay takes center stage, complemented by the integration of roguelike elements, such as procedurally generated encounters.
The network test, described as a preliminary verification, will offer a glimpse into Nightreign's online systems before the full game's launch. Although PC players are excluded from this test, Nightreign's eventual release will encompass this platform. The lack of a confirmed release date adds to the anticipation surrounding this highly anticipated title, following its reveal at The Game Awards 2024. The limited playtime, however, may disappoint some players eager for extended gameplay.
